The past. Today.

I don’t know why I just remembered this German artist I had to write an article about like 12 or 13 years ago when I was working as an editor. I didn’t like my job too much at that time (that’s why I’m not working as a journalist anymore) but what I did like was the fact that I had to visit all those art exhibitions – since I was the only one in our office who was a little interested in art. And even though not all of them presented world-famous exhibits I almost loved them all.

So when I googled this German artist I was a little surprised to see that she’s still working on her old theme: the beauty of the cruelty of nature (that’s been a lot of “of”). I hope and I’m pretty sure that she gets to sell most of her work. The formats she uses are huge which automatically attracts a lot of people. But I also do like many of her paintings not only for their obvious beauty but also because she makes her creatures appear lively even though they are actually already dead.
