This picture reflects quite accurately what’s going on in my head today. I’m flying to Germany tomorrow to visit my family and organize some long overdue stuff. I haven’t been there for more than a year and I’m going to stay for only five days. But it will be the first time I have to leave our cats alone with Alex and he will have a busy week this week. So for the last couple of days I kept on thinking what I could buy in advance and prepare to make it as easy as possible for him to take care of the cats. It’s funny that HE had actually been the one who wanted to have the cats.

Anyways, I’m nervous but what can I do. I might also slow down blogging for the next couple of days but will hopefully come back with even more pictures to post.

By the way: the image shown above is by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Unfortunately, the exhibition (New York) which displayed this image ends today. 😦

  1. Darling!!

oh i really wish a good trip. at least you get to go (the crazy volcano really put the kibosh on ours).
i’m sure little Alex will do just fine (ok, i know that wont make you feel better but he will have a lot of fun wearing those cats out haha).

that ring on the picture you commented is AMAZING. i am sooooooo in love. so so soooo in love.
it reminds me of the vintage rings i’ve seen on istambul. yummy!

    miss ya

  2. I’m going to Germany next month, too, but it hasn’t been that long a time since I was there last time. I hope you have a good trip and enjoy meeting up with your family. Safe travels! xx

  3. P.S. I’m sure the cats will be fine. (I tend to worry about our 2, too, it’s tough, they are like my babies.)
P.S. 2 I remember the film about Basquiat.
P.S.3 If its not too impertinent to ask – Where abouts in Germany are you flying to?

    • Sabine, thank you so much! I’m in Duesseldorf (or close to Duesseldorf) right now. It’s freezing cold. Where are you going to next month?
