We are family.

Filed under: Uncategorized — blindcopy @ 1:18 pm

May I introduce two members of my family? Bibi, a shelter dog (one of the most gorgeous dogs I’ve met) and Sara. Sara is a male turtle. I got him when I was 5 years old (from my Japanese grandfather – how could my parents ever allow him to fulfill my wish for a real turtle?) and I thought it’s a girl. Sara is allowed to run freely through the house. In summer he’s living in the garden (sometimes he steals the neighbour’s strawberries).

I’m in freaking cold Germany. Can’t believe it’s only around 10 degrees Celsius in May! But it’s good to see the family and enjoy five days of delicious food: Had fantastic Japanese food at a friend’s restaurant (go and try Hoshino’s in Meerbusch/Buederich if you’re in or around Duesseldorf, Hoshino-san is the best! Honestly.) and my mother’s home-made pasta (three time in two days – couldn’t get enough of it).

Will post more pictures (also from my stylish “little” sister Michiko, who took some days off and drove all the way to join the little family gathering) once I’m back in Dubai.

  1. I want your turtle! Thanks for commenting on my blog and letting me know you like my casual style. It is good to know what people think and what they like/dislike. That was one of my favorite outfits as well because it was so casual and comfy =) xo

  2. Such a cute family – turtles, cats and all… Does it console you that it’s freaking cold here in the UK, too? It must be quite a shock when coming from Dubai.
