Underwater Love.

Filed under: Uncategorized — blindcopy @ 5:28 pm

Stumbled on these phantastic pictures by Jill Greenberg today. I always found unterwater photography intriguing, and I wish I could remember where I saw this fashion editorial with some models floating in water (like dead bodies, actually. Quite a louring editorial as far as I remember, and I loved it).

Then I remembered this amazing TV spot by the fabulous Michel Gondry for Levi’s. Those were the times, when Levi’s did one amazing TV spot after the other. Sigh. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any better quality video. You should watch it, though. It’s a piece of art. And if you ask yourself what the whole story has to do with jeans – watch it till the end when they show the tagline. Very smart! The song “Underwater Love” is by Smoke City and became a hit (it was their only hit as far as I know).

  6. […] Often had I seen his photography not knowing who they were taken by. Now I have the name: Wayne Levin, born 1945 in Los Angeles. His black and white photography is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. I’ve taken the images from his website where you can see many more stunning images. How much I love underwater photography have I already expressed here. […]
