Crossing my polished fingers.

Filed under: Uncategorized — blindcopy @ 7:09 pm

Before I went to my NailSpa appointment today I tried my new nail colours to see which one I would have on my hands this time. Each colour on a different finger.  And suddenly – there it was: The German flag. “This must be a sign (hopefully a good one)” I thought with regard to the World Cup match Germany vs. England tomorrow. So I decided to have my nails done in black, red and gold. For the first time even Alex got really excited over my nails and couldn’t wait for me to come back home. Here we took his German jersey as well as a couple of pictures of my hands. 🙂 Can you read the numbers on the little stars on the shirt? 54, 74 and 90 – the years in which the Germans won the Football World Cup. Will the German team be able to add another star this year? Or will I have to take my nail polish off tomorrow after the game versus the German’s “favourite” competitor England? To be continued…

  4. Aaaaahhhh, this is genius! And it helped, obviously. Honestly, I was (secretly) very optimistic anyway (they just play well, the German team, don’t they?) – and I was not disappointed. Poor, poor English…

BTW, I think a story about hunting down sequins in hot, crowded Arabian bazaars would make for a great post 😉
