Revival.

Calvin Klein is one of the names which didn’t exist for me anymore. I liked the stuff in the 90s, when CK more or less discovered Kate Moss. But who didn’t? The collections of the last couple of years sucked – as far as I can remember. Unspectacular and misshapen. 90s, still. I wouldn’t be bothered if I hadn’t seen these slippers on Zoe’s online shop today.

By Calvin Klein. Yip.

It wasn’t love. But I found them interesting, so I checked out Calvin Klein’s website – and was surprised: I actually liked some pieces of the Pre-Fall 2010 and some of the Fall 2010 collection! What do you think?

From the Pre-Fall 2010 collection. And…

… from the Fall 2010 collection. All images taken from Calvin Klein. (Thanks Alex for puzzling them together.)

Not groundbreaking, but very nice, no? I really like them. Unfortunately the Resort 2011 collection is a desaster, again.

By the way: Gucci also kinda celebrates a revival in my opinion. Forget about the clothes – but the bags… I was shocked to find myself checking out sizes and prices of three (3!) totally different bag models. One of them was this one – of course (because you see it everywhere these days):

Which one do you like better?

  2. Yeap, I noticed it too. I really like the designs again (haven’t seen the resort collection though). Talking about Gucci bags… I needed to be pulled away from the airport shop by force, the bags look SO NICE. Between these 2… camel wins for me!
