DIY Prada Accessories.

(All pictures – except number 2, which shows a Miu Miu necklace I discovered on mytheresa.com – via prada.com)

Prada (and Miu Miu) have some beautiful plexi chain necklaces, bracelets and earrings in their Resort 2011 collections. I had a chance to have a closer look at them on a spring preview event when I was at their Tokyo branches in December. But at almost EUR 500 none of the pretty necklaces became mine (instead I bought a cool denim shirt dress, the most beautiful shoes ever and – ha, a pair of green/black socks, because I’m sooo gonna jump onto the socks ‘n sandals trend. I still owe you pictures, I know, I know… OK, I will ask Alex to take pictures of me in my new Prada dress/shoes/socks tomorrow.).

Instead I went to that amazing haberdashery store in Omotesando and bought some plexi chains per metre. At approx. EUR 50 per metre they were not exactly cheap, but in comparison to the original… OK, the Prada accessories looked really high-quality, and some were adorned with pretty Swarovski crystals, but when I look at my DIY accessories – not bad, are they?
