Mix ‘n Match for Beginners.

Filed under: Uncategorized — blindcopy @ 10:45 pm

If I had made a New Year’s resolution, I would have decided to fully exploit my wardrobe, be more daring and mix ‘n match the wonderful pieces I already have. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions anymore, but sometimes it doesn’t hurt to listen to your inner voice – even if it’s talking to you on New Year’s eve. Said and done. Today. But since I’m such a scaredy chicken, I went for a pretty safe version of what I see and admire on various blogs every day.

Flower blouse (by Marni) mixed with my beloved leo shawl (by Louis Vuitton – my dear friend Kelly was so right: I do wear it every day, even though every second women here in Dubai seems to have one, too).

That’s an easy one, because the blouse has those black straps, and the shawl has black spots as well. And the pink letters on the scarf go actually really well with the little pink blossoms on the top (but I discovered that only in front of my photobooth). I also wore totally shredded black jeans, which I thought were a nice contrast to the grandma-like top. I’m going slowly, but I’m on my way – or what do you think? My green/black socks with my leo wedges (leo is really easy to mix with all kinds of patterns or colours) tomorrow?

  1. Yes yes yes thumbs up!!!

I love that too, some contrast. Like I mix my boyfriend jeans with a pair of precious flats, or a military jacket and a sequined top…
This contrast little-innocent-flowers/glamourous-aggressive-animalier is really cool! And super-thumbs up 1000 times for the leo wedges and coloured socks!! I do think that leopard fits everything too, I’m already thinking of a pair of leopard flats… mmmh……

kiss kiss (but I hate you because you’ve got all these fabulous designer things ahahah)

  2. I think it’s pretty daring already, and looking good! (and naturally I would love to see the whole outfit, but how much more can I push before becoming really annoying?). Can’t wait for green socks and leopard wedges!

  3. OMG OMG! I love that scarf!!! I have a thing for Louis Vuitton eversince! I could never get tired of their “monotonous” style, very classic! I’ve few collection, it doesn’t matter if other thinks it’s for “mature” people!

    PS
About the iPad, just click the “Maps” icon and it will bring you to something similar like google maps, type in your destination and it will tell you the prefered route, etc. Once you start driving, the dot (that’s you) will move too, very handy especially for me who can’t really remember any street name 😀

  4. I totally need to follow your resolution too, there are so many things that aren’t getting enough wear, but I keep on wishing for new clothes anyway!
Love how the letters bring out the florals in your blouse 🙂
