Light at the end…

Filed under: Uncategorized — blindcopy @ 12:33 pm

It’s me. I’m back.

This time of the year is always crazy. Clients want to spend the rest of their annual budget, so there’s a lot to do at the agency. We also had two pitches to work on at the same time. And the fact that I’m very sentimental and moody at this time of the year doesn’t really help (even Dubai’s sun didn’t get me out of this hole – oh, and if my Indian colleague at the other end of the office doesn’t stop shouting into his phone my depression could even turn into an aggression!). When I’m in this kind of mood I need comfort – comfort food, comfort pets (the two try their best) and comfort clothes. So when you see a little creature wearing big shirts over slouchy pants, wrapped in huge shawls (despite 30 degrees Celsius), Havaianas on her feet and hiding her eyes behind huge shades – yep, that’s me. The only thing I’m really good at right now is self-pity.

But I see light at the end of the tunnel – in the shape of John Rocha. Or rather in the shape of what he designed for Fall/Winter 2010. Fellow fashion bloggers, have you ever looked at something and felt it without even wearing it? Happened to me with Rocha’s designs. After posting the following pictures (I’ve taken from his website) I have to surf by Style.com to check out his Summer 2011 collection, hoping he won’t disappoint me.

  1. I’ve been missing you and hope this stressful time soon comes to an end. You’ve picked the perfect princess dresses (beam me away into fairy land, please?). I so want the white-beige knit dress!

  2. P.S. and tell the loud guy to SHUT UP! (or at least tone it down…)

  3. these outfits are moody but not melancholy at all, despite their mostly somber palette. may things calm down at work for you soon. personally, i detest work chaos, and i dislike loud co-workers! xo
