This is the name of the Essie varnish I’ve got on my hands! (You really thought I was talking about myself?! Grrrrrr.) Essie always gives their polishes the funniest names…
I went to my bi-weekly mani/pedi routine today and took all my Anna Sui glitter-glamour bottles with me – but suddenly felt the urge to go for something neutral. (Does the colour of your nails influence which clothes you wear, too?) And since my skin is a liiiiiittle tanned (after 2 x 5 hours of sun bathing on two days in a row – I’m not kidding you. I just don’t get a tan. Never. I get sunburned, though. Easily.) I thought “Not just a pretty face” would be nice on me today.
On my feet: Chanel’s Dragon.
My God my God my God what nails!! Your pedicure is AWESOME!!!!
And I really love that Essie color… Shit, another thing to add in the “to buy” list -_-
If it makes you feel better I am an “SPF 50” girl too. Get sunburns and very difficultly I get a tan. And when I get it it’s almost invisible. Well, at least I don’t look blue-ish. And I am Italian for God sake!! It’s really embarrassing when I go to Italy in summer believe me… people talk to me in English (well, they try…) because they think I am a foreigner. WTF!!!
a big kiss my dear
Al
PS: love your rings!!

oh, you’re an Italian version of snow white! don’t complain – that’s beautiful! π i – on the contrary – need a “tan” (you really can’t call the “colour” i get a tan) so i don’t look sick, red, and pimply. it makes me just look less sick. π big xo back at you! π

omg so beautiful!! essie makes the prettiest sheer colors, and well…chanel, what is there to say about chanel polishes? iconic colors…richly pigmented…awesome. π
i have chanel dragon, too.
i don’t tan well either- not since i was a teen, anyway. i could get some nice color in those days, but no longer. i’m a high-spf girl now…plus, hat, shade, etc etc!
xo

I also have Chanel Dragon – very sex colour for the feet and for the warmer months too.
Your hands are as pretty as your feet. Hope all is well. XX

One day I want to have nails like this – they look wonderful and purrrfect! I tried some modern art look on my nails yesterday – it looks awful and goes with NOTHING. Will have to come off asap.
Comment by Sabine — May 16, 2011 @ 12:51 am
no, no, no, Sabine! you’ll have to show us first! i love mismatched, funny looking, modern art nails! it’s all about the attitude! xoxoxo
Comment by blindcopy — May 16, 2011 @ 9:38 am
Haha. I love that phrasing: modern art nails. I didn’t have an opinion on the matter, until I read this. Now, I’m a fan π

I own many nail polishes in bright colors, but every now and then I like to try something neutral or pastel!
I am fair skinned and I cannot say I get a tan…I do get a move “lively” color though π
Like Al said, sometimes in Greece they pass me for a foreigner π

Love your nails darling! Oh and I should add that I don’t get a tan either, so you’re not alone! π Here in Sweden (where people naturally are pale), everyone is CRAZY about getting tanned when summer is about to arrive! Not a day without “oh I’m so pale I have to do something about it” or “I can’t walk in shorts the way I look now!” Emma and I decided not to care about that at all and neither should you! π

I love both these colours! So beautiful.
